We are at the midterm point, so for this blog I would like you to reflect on the class so far. Write down your thoughts on the assignments, namely the blogs. Would you rather have more papers instead of blogs? Has the fact that others read your blogs changed how you write on them? What do you think of the experience of reading your classmates' blogs? If there is some confusion about a text (story or poem) or a concept (kind of criticism, element of literary analysis like irony etc) include this in your blog as well. Finally, discuss your expectations about the class when it started and how it is similar or different from what you expected ENG 102 to be.
I love the class so far. The blog assignments have been fun and relevant (for the most part) with the short stories we have read. The blogs have been stunning, much more interactive then a boring paper. The point of others reading the blogs do not necessarily change my writing but are a neat criticism that couldn't happen with a term paper. I learn about my peers through their comments and opinionated blogs. I haven't really found a kind of criticism confusing but I do enjoy learning about psychological criticism more than the literary concepts. I definitely enjoy this better than 101.
